What’s so special about giveaways, anyway?

Though a mailing list is not absolutely necessary for success online, you will find that life is a whole lot easier with one. So, let’s just say that you need a list. Because we both know that you are not seeking information on GIVEaways because you want to work your ass off.
So…
Out of 74 giveaways that I recently ran stats on, the average number of contributors was 187 and the average number of members was 1,216. So, on average, if you submit a gift, upgrade your contributor account and promote the event to keep your gift on page one -or at most, page two- then you could easily receive about 1,403 subscribers per event.
That number is not adjusted for duplicates, but just to give you an idea… That equals around 1,403 people who receive your messages with links and reminders pointing back to your websites and products and THAT‘s what’s so special about giveaways!
